Aaron Coppard - Head of Security MENA, GSK
Over 10 years’ experience in Intelligence and Security, previously in the British Army for 7 years including operational tours in Eastern Europe and Afghanistan. Aaron specialised in identifying and mitigating threats posed by threat actors such as hostile intelligence services and extremist groups. This experience in operational planning provided a deep understanding of the strategies employed by adversaries, which enabled the development of robust security protocols to safeguard the British Army’s reputation.
Following the British Army, Aaron joined GSK’s Corporate Security and Investigations function. Currently, he is based in Dubai as the Head of Security with an area of operations covering the Middle East and North Africa, Pakistan, Russia/CIS. Aaron provides business-enabling support across diverse risk environments, including travel and operations to high-risk environments, physical security review of GSK portfolio in the region, training and development of crisis management teams to prepare for business disruption, and supply chain security to safeguard valuable assets and critical medicine for patients.
