In Grafana Labs’ 2025 Observability Survey, 41% of respondents reported using OpenTelemetry in production, with another 38% actively investigating it or running a POC. OpenTelemetry enables you to collect and standardise logs, metrics, and traces, and Grafana Cloud provides powerful workflows for visualising and analysing this data.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll get an introduction to the fundamentals of
OpenTelemetry, learn how to monitor and troubleshoot using Grafana Cloud, and
experience OpenTelemetry in action — without needing to write any code.

Workshop Requirements:
● You are comfortable reading and modifying small amounts of Bash
scripts, configuration files and JavaScript
● You will have a computer with a modern, up-to-date web browser, and
lenient outbound firewall rules
If you do not meet these requirements, you will not be technically qualified for the workshop.
