About The Event
Your software supply chain is secured. Now let's secure your evening..
Chainguard and Somerford Associates invite you to Supply Chain & Tonic, a gin tasting where every bottle has been thoroughly vetted, zero-trust tested, and signed off on by experts.
No vulnerabilities. Just good gin and discussion
Agenda:
18:00 – 18:30 | Welcome & Networking
On Arrival: A classic, crisp Gin & Tonic (using a clean, London Dry gin).
18:30 – 19:00 | Segment 1: "The Base Spirit" – Vulnerability Management Realities
Gin Pairing: A traditional, juniper-forward gin. Much like the foundation of a good gin, this segment focuses on the core fundamentals of your defense.
Discussion Topic: Moving past the Mythos hype. Following Quincy Castro's briefing, what are the immediate, pragmatic steps we are taking this quarter? How are peers benchmarking their current vulnerability management against autonomous hunting models?
Format: Fireside chat hosted by John Dee, Director of Strategy at Somerford Associates and Tom Llewelyn, Senior Sales Engineer at Chainguard.
19:00 – 19:30 | Segment 2: "The Botanicals" – Complexity & AI Red Teaming
Gin Pairing: A contemporary, highly botanical, or citrus-infused gin. Complex, nuanced, and unpredictable.
Discussion Topic: The Shift in Attack Surface. If Mythos-level models change how vulnerabilities are hunted, how does it change our defensive patching timelines? Executives share insights on how they are evolving their Red Teaming and application security strategies to counter AI-driven exploitation.
19:30 – 20:00 | Segment 3: "The Finish" – Strategic Horizons & AI Governance
Gin Pairing: A rich, barrel-aged gin or a signature Gin Cocktail (e.g., a Negroni or Martinez). Deep, lingering, and contemplative.
Discussion Topic: Securing the Future. How do we maintain board-level confidence amidst the "shockwaves" of AI breakthroughs? A look at long-term budget implications, talent retention for security teams, and vendor accountability.
20:00 – 21:00 | Informal Networking & Canapés
Activity: The tasting concludes, but the bar remains open. Guests can continue informal discussions, compare notes, and network with peers.
