End of Life Infrastructure Monitoring Apps and the New Way Forward

With applications very commonly used such as the Splunk App for Windows Infrastructure, the Splunk App for Infrastructure, and the Splunk App for Linux and Unix being archived, we wanted to make sure our customers are aware of the new content packs available to download to replace these legacy applications.

To future proof your dashboards and deployment, we would recommend downloading and installing The IT Essentials Work app and the Splunk App for Content Packs from Splunkbase, or if using Splunk Cloud raise a ticket to have it installed for you as soon as possible. This will streamline the user experience for all of our customers and provide you more regularly updated content for your use cases of On Prem, Cloud or Hybrid infrastructure monitoring.
The IT Essentials Work app will contain all of the dashboards from the apps being depreciated but it will also contain new dashboards, alerts and the ability to create Infrastructure entities from your on prem, virtual and cloud instances and separate cloud instances into their individual components to be able to report on their performance in real time.
Moving to the new content packs are free of charge and if you are already using IT Service Intelligence they also contain many premium features that can extend your ITSI usage. A full list of apps that will be archived from 21/10/21 can be found below:
